Fermentation & Bottling Equipment

These are items already offered in our kit. But if you need extras or want to make up your own kit, here are some of the items you will need during the fermentation and bottling stages of the homebrewing process.

Bucket w/ Lid (#700) 3lbs: This is a sturdy, 6 gallon, food grade plastic bucket (approved for used in the storage of food items) with an air tight lid for primary fermentation and bottling. You will want at least two of these in any kit you put together as offer in our own.
Cost: $9.50ea.

Airlock w/ stopper (#701) 1lbs: This item is made to go along with our fermentation bucket. The #2 size stopper fits our fermentation and bottling bucket lid and the airlock is an easy to clean, three piece model.
Cost: $2.00

Bottle Brush (#702) 1lbs: Use this brush to get those hard to clean bottles and you will find the chore a whole lot easier.
Cost: $2.50

Plastic Spoon 18" (#703) 1lbs: This food grade plastic stirring spoon is a handy tool to have around while brewing. It is sturdy and easy to keep clean.
Cost: $2.50

Racking Cane 24" (#704) 1lbs: This is a stiff plastic piece of siphoning equipment that allows you to transfer your beer without having to constantly keep the hose in place. The plastic tip also enables you to keep much of the sediment (yeast that has multiplied) in the bucket and out of your beer.
Cost: $2.00

3/8" Tubing (#705) 1lbs: If you require extra tubing, this is the size that will fit the other siphoning equipment we offer.
Cost: $.40/ft.

Plastic Bottle Filler 15" (#706) 1lbs: This piece of equipment makes bottling a whiz and it is easy to clean.
Cost: $3.00

Crown Bottle Caps (#707) 1lbs: They're gold and they work on all capable bottles
Cost: $2.50/gross

Nylon Grain Bag (#708) 1lbs: Used to steep specialty grains, these bags can be washed and reused over and over.

Muslin Hop Bag (#709) 1lbs: Easy to use for hops and smaller amounts of grains these cotton bags may be used a couple times.
Cost: $.50

Grain Bag 20" by 24" (fits 6 Gal Pail) (#210) 1lbs: Here is another option when it comes to steeping your grains and boiling your hops. When they are finished you simply pour the liquid through the bag and it strains out what you don't want ending up in the fermentation bucket.
Cost: $5.25ea.

Stainless Steel Brewing Pots (#711) 7lbs: Stainless Steel is the pot of choice for many brewers and it is one of the reason we offer it in our catalog. These pots will give you many years of clean brewing pleasure.

Bottle Capper (#712) 2lbs: Light weight, comfortable capper that works on a variety of bottles both foreign and domestic. You can't go wrong with this simple and sturdy capper.
Cost: $10.00

Corn Sugar (#713): Used to prime your beer. The sugar will cause the yeast to get working again and build up carbon dioxide in turn creating carbonation.
Cost: $2.00 / lb.
